Seat ECU... will it work with a Mk3 Golf Gti 16v?

Now that I have got my Mk1 Golf back with the 2,0 16v in and tuned to 160bhp with an original ECU, can I plug in a 2.0 16v Ibiza Cupra ECU which is mapped to 174bhp? Will it work if I can get the right model number?

Just looked at your profile - are you still running k-jet? The Ibiza 2.0 16v ECU is digifant from an ABF engine same as in Golf3.

There are many different engine codes for both the Golf and Seat. Mine is ABF but I have been told that the Seat is a different model number. Im running a Digifan engine out of a Mk3 Golf Gti but was wondering if I can get the Ibiza Cupra 2.0 16v ECU to match my Golf engine?
