Service Light Reset - 130TDI Passat

Could somebody please advise the best way of reseting the service indicator computer following a oil change. I believe it is something to do with the trip button but if somebody could confirm it would be much apprciated.

hold in trip reset button

with other hand turn on igntion

let go of trip and turn clock stalk to the right

turn ignition off and then back on

should be reset

Only one issue and that it only resets dash to 10k/12 month service, not longlife

Thanks for this - works a treat. Not I would be happy with Long Life oils but just out of interest, do you know if it is possible to use the 'condition monitoring' element of the Long-Life system to monitor oil degredation using conventional oil on 10k service intervals... Just curious! If so what would you have to do to trigger this function - my handbook clearly states that my car is designed for long life servicing. Thanks for your help.
