Not alot on those really, the 2.0 8V is a pretty gash engine.

The problem is you'll be spending big money for very little gain and even with cam, head work, exhaust, etc etc etc it still won't be anywhere near a standard 16v

Either spend £k's making an 8V with 140bhp or spend £500 buying a 16V with 150 bhp that will easily tune to 180bhp.

I assume you've stopped looking at your original thread but I agree.

To get any useful power out of that engine you'd have to turbo or supercharge it, and as the bolt-on kits are all for LHD cars, the costs of doing that mean it's far more sensible to change car. You'd never get more than 140bhp from that engine without forced induction, even if you spent a fortune having the whole thing ported and flowed.

You could get an VR6/1.8T engine conversion, but again it would cost less to change car, so it's not worth it unless you've had significant work done to the body.

Drop an ABF 16v in if you really want to keep the car.
