The speedo cable has just snapped on my H reg Corrado 1.8 16v and I have tried numerous suppliers including VW and have been informed that it is now an obsolete item since 2005.
I have been given a comparable parts number which is 535 957 803 for the cable and for the gearbox drive the original parts number is 02A 409 193.
Could anybody suggest an alternative to these parts that will work or even better does anybody have the above parts.
The cable has snapped off inside the drive and after many fiddly hours spent the best I could do was remove the cable and wind the drive back into the gear box!!
Hope to hear from someone soon that can help me not lose my License driving on the rev counter!!
