range on trip computer

thought the tripcomputer on a Golf was supposed to give you the range?

mine isn't doing so... anyone know whether it will start working after it's done a certain mileage, or whether it's not a function it gives?

I think your find its not a feature.

I have a 2 year old golf v5 and all its got is MPG, average MPG, average speed, journey time, journey mileage. There are two settings to this one that resets itself after two hours and the other that keeps going until you reset it (or a 1000 miles i think !)

Wife's Mk IV hasn't got it. Audi's tend to have it though.

my derv Polo has it but HMMM lets just say watching the fuel guage needle is a better indicator of fuel remaining

the manual says that it should do it.... but it doesn't.
