What's the Golf R32 like?
Discussion
My view- really excellent handling (better than a stock S3) & brakes, great engine note & posibly the only non soggy & wallowy suspension on a standard Golf since the Mk2 16v!
However not really 'that' rapid- not suprising really considering only 240ish bhp & almost 1500kg. As standard it feels very torquey & grunty in the lower end of the rev range, but get the revs up & nothing much happens other than it gets noiser.

Chris,
Had mine for three weeks now - fabulous car. Had a GTI 1.8T before this and the difference in the handling, response of steering etc is beyond belief. These cars are deceptively quick. You never really feel as if you are travelling at any great speed and then you look at the speedo ... My 550 is similar in this respect.
Was out in the wet last weekend and you can pretty much put your foot down anywehere and the thing just grips.
