How do I change the sidelight on my 2006 A8. Its the passenger side. It looks like access is from behind but I'm stuggling a bit without using brute force. Is is just a matter of fiddling or am I doing it wrong.

Search for "A4 rear lights". I had a 2003 and it's a fiddly procedure- Think it may be the same for the A8.

Take the wheel off, remove the wheel arch lining and then you can access the back of the light.

Thanks Chaps - I think a trip to the local specialist might be in order. Be rude not to go for a remap the the same time I guess!!

The non turbo cars don't gain that much. IIRC its only about 15-20 bhp on them ( I also have a 97 A8 4.2)

Ask teh guys on forum.a8parts.co.uk as they play with them all day long.

Thanks for that. 15-20bhp is possibly still worth doing.

I've been reading the handbook which seems to recommend 98RON petrol. Is there really any benefit to this over standard Unleaded, or does the ECU just flatten the performance anyway?
