Hi, new to this forum as I'm looking for a nice RHD RS2. I've seen two advertised recently but would appreciate guidelines on prices for private and trade sales. Also, any advice on what specialists to use for inspections prior to buying would be useful.

Thanks in advance

Barry

Hi Barry - good to have you here!

I haven't researched prices in detail recently, but I would expect decent RHD RS2s to range from £13K to £20K (obviously with private at the low end, dealers at the high end). Do a search on www.autotrader.co.uk to get an idea.

As for specialist inspections, check Kim Collins at QST (www.qstuning.com) or Autopool in Iver (01753 655011) who are just behind Fontain (www.fontain.co.uk) who know just about every RHD in the country.

Finally you might want to also call in to www.rs246.com; there's a whole collection of Audi RS nutters over there who can help you out (even a dedicated RS2 forum).

Thanks Jeremy, off to see one early next week that falls in the middle of that range so if it's as good as it sounds and the price is right I'll be moving from the TVR list to the Audi one.

Good luck, but I can recommend staying in both camps.

Jeremyc, thats a very nice fleet you're running there
I went from lots of fast Audis to TVR and still have deep down longings for the RS2 I nearly bought.
Keep trying to persuade Mrs Phlap that a 315bhp Nogaro Blue projectile is sensible family transport

It is, it is!

I fail to see Mrs Phlap's problem: go buy one immediately.

I am tempted
Id still like another Ur quattro but she really hated that.
The problem last time was that I tried to sell the idea that the RS2 was 'just like our S2 but more practical'
...Then she saw the Porsche lettering in the badge and the £20K price sticker

Off to check out the RS2 prices thread......
