Launch of next RS4?

Can anyone tell me what the offical line is/informed opinion on when Audi dealers in UK will have first RS4s? Is it even scheduled for 2009 or 2010?

Have a current RS4 avant which i plan to change in next 12 months and just wondered if I should hang on for the new one/place a deposit.

Hold on to your pants,

There is one coming but Audi uk as always are keeping their cards close to their chest,as an employee for the manufacturer when it is released to me i will post all the relevant details and stats,seen some shots of it.................looks the bol####s mate.

My guess would be late 09 but more likely early 10 at us auto show as v10 r8 is launched this month.

RS5 will be next ...

The next RS4 will be based on the B9 .. face lift .. 2010-2011

Although there are whispers of a twin-charged version of the new S4 motor, and the S5 is soon to get the new S4 drivetrain.

Could go either way in my opinion.

Don't agree .. think the RS4 will be V8 again ..

According to new information Audi is busy with a new HDZ 4.2 V8 FSI engine, which is based on Gallardo LP560-4/R8 the 5.2 FSI V10 engine. The new 4.2 FSI V8 will be a high speed (HDZ) engine which ± 450 hp @ 8000 rpm and 436 Nm @ 5800 ± Rpm will deliver.
The new HDZ 4.2 FSI V8 engine will be provided for next generation Audi RS4, Audi R8 Audi RS5 and where the 420 hp V8 FSI version will be replaced. Weight technically, the HDZ V8 not that much more 3.0TFSI than the V6 engine.
