iPod problem?

I have an 8P S3, just got back from a Xmas trip to the parentage, iPod was playing fine, gets to the last track and finishes instead of bringing up the list that the crappy interface gives, there is nothing to select!

I removed the iPod from the clove box and it shows the Audi rings, but won't let me scroll the menu or anything?

Any ideas?

you can reset the ipod by pressing the 'Menu' button and the middle button together until the apple logo appears.
