My girlfriend's 52 plate Mk4 Golf GTi is due a new timing belt.

Local independent VW specialist has quoted £350 to to the job.
This includes VAT, parts, labour & a new water pump.

Sounds reasonable to me. Any other stuff worth doing while they're in there?

Cheers, Andrew

If the tensioner is not included I would get that done as well otherwise I think you have it all covered
