I'm looking to sell my Golf Mk2 16v with a TurboTechnics turbo convertion.

Has anyone any idea of value
Rebuilt engine, turbo and gear linkage while the engine was out

Post some details up - if it's a clean, late 3 door in a good colour it'll be a lot different from an early Java green 5 door.

Late 3 door in Black.

Could do with a good clean ( I will get around to doing that) as I haven't used it for some time as I spend all my days in the Jaguar XKR

Small dent on the front wing where a door fell against it, will get that sorted though.

No rust that I can see.

I do get people nocking on the door asking if I want to sell, but where do I start as an asking price.

without knowing more details or seeing pictures its very difficult to say.
Are you on any other forums where you have a members gallery? I am aware of a few TT conversions but mostly on 8v an they've fetched £2k+, the 16v is difinately more of a rarity. I assume its an original conversion and not one that has been built more recently?

No doubt the engine itself is the most valuable part of the car and as a complete drop in conevrsion would be worth in excess of £1000 on its own.

Get some more information up an we can try an help you.

BTW how are you finding the XKR? i test drove a 2007 XKR Coupe a few weeks ago as we are hoping to get one as a new company car - i found it incredible, especially the paddleshift which was easily the best ive used, superior to the Ferrari version.

Yes it was an original conversion by TurboTechnics

I have the original XKR Coupe but with many go faster goodies like a TwinScrew Supercharger instead of the Eaton. 600BHP with some more to come, still verry tractible though.

That's why I have tended to leave the Golf allown, 200BHP even with a smaller body doesn't seem enough
