Guys,

Have just taken the plunge and traded my Boxster in for 2003 S3 with all the trimmings, stunning drive and looks, cant wait.
Any Ideas on which companies to call for the insurance the AA are wanting an EXTRA premium over and above the cost of the boxster till the policy ends in FEB, which seems a bit much.

TA.

Unbelievable! An S3 is probably my next car and did actually get quoted cheaper than my Integra-R by direct Line with whom I was insured up until last week when they refused to match Elephant on premium and excess.
So I suppose I can recommend checking Direct Line online.

I reckon they're trying it on with the additional charge as you're unlikely to cancel a policy half way through.

Try Admiral, I have an S3 with a dress on (TT) and they, along with Elephant (same company) and Esure, were the cheapest by far.

Definitely agree on the elephant front.

They will be a little (few quid) cheaper than Admiral in my experience despite being same company. You will notice internet quoting systems are the same, just different colours. ;-)

Elephant can be a bit hit and miss.

For example they quoted me over £5K for the Trev...

directline myself, close call with elephant ... it was the additional xs costs that made me go with DL.

Try Privilege.

I was with Admiral last year and decided to get a few quotes at renewal time. Privilege and Diret Line (same company) both gave the same quote - £261 cheaper than Admiral who themselves were about £300 cheaper than anyone else.
