How old's the car? Unless you're driving it on the door handle I'd say that's abnormally fast tyre wear.

yer thats pretty quick tyre wear. Sounds like the camber set up may need looking at as well as a 4 wheel alignment.
it is lowered?

Sounds a bit like my S4 tyre wear, except i seem to be getting around 10K per set from Pirelli P-zeroes.
My rears wear niceley flat but the fronts wear at the shoulders, i have heard (Can't remember where) front shoulder wear is quite common on Quattro based cars.
If you're based down south i would totally recommend Micheldever tyres. Suberb bunch of guys, very professional, with a full printout of your target geometry and your actual (before and after adjustment).

What size tyres are they on your car? Pretty sure that ur-quattros (that is what we are talking about aren't we?) should only run on 215 15s. Used to be able to get Pirellis P7000s in that size but I think that only Dunlop do them now.

Speak to Roger Galvin at the quattro workshop near Lutterworth (don't have the number with me, sorry, but google for it) as he has the suspension alignment kit & can get the correct size Dunlops.

Hmmm. A quattro is a quattro and an A4 quattro has the quattro drive train. Different things.
