Hi guys,
Just got myself an A6 1.9 tdi avant - late 2002 on 52 plate in dark blue. Nice sensible car which is pleasent on the motorway and delivers good fuel consumption.
Missing the power of my old 530d, and also its leather interior, so will be having it remapped soon and have been looking at replacement seats on eBay.
Does anyone else have a dark blue A6 with leather? Or an A6 with the blue dashboard and trim? If so, what colour is the leather? Black doesn't look right, nor do the lighter colours so can't work out what I'm suppossed to be looking for.
Also, has anyone replaced the seats and door cards in an A6 avant? Is it straightforward?
Cheers
Tim

could you get seats recovered? There is a place called Seat Surgeons. One north and one south based.

Speak to auto interiors just off the bath Road if you're tempted by a retrim. I've been very impressed with the quality of their work.

Hadn't thought of recovering - interesting idea... I'll give them a ring and are what kind of price they're looking at. Imagine its probably not at the same level as a replacement interior on eBay which seems to be circa £250...

Anyone with the blue dash and leather? Do you have blue leather too? I know my dads e-class has that combo.

Hi Tim

My A6 had the blue interior... I thought it looked very nice... Exterior was Crystal Blue, so matched well.

In my opinion, the Black interior is just a little dark in the A6, whereas the Blue is just that little bit lighter, which "opens it up" a bit more. I would recommend.

I was quoted £900 for seven seats recovered in a LR Disco3. So would have thought £600 to redo a 5 seater?
