Boot CD Changer bracket/mount for Mk4 Golf

I'm after a bracket/mount and fixings for a 6 disc cd changer in the boot of my Mk4 Golf. I've spoke to the dealers and they want £59 for it, which I think is ludicrous for a bit of metal and a few screws. Does anyone know where else I can get one? I've tried all the usual GSF parts etc, but no joy.... and nothing on ebay.

You're best bet is ebay to be honest fella. I've picked up a couple previously for my Golfs and they've all been from ebay. They do come up quite often so i'd keep looking.

Or if you see one that comes with the changer, depending on price it might be worth buying the whole set and then reselling the spare changer etc.

I've got a changer sat idle mounted in my boot (so I assume it has the mounting brackets!). I have an in-dash changer, so it has never been used. Probably no good for you unless you by chance take a trip down here!

Thanks allbackedup, I have kept a lookout but none come up individually, all along with changers as you said. I'm a member on ukmkivs and nothing has come up there either.

Is it possible for you to mail it to me FourMotion? I dont mind paying for your packaging and delivery. I just need the mount and screws etc., have the changer and cable already

Are these what I need? Will standard screws work, and do all models have all the holes for it to fit predrilled? Only asking as my car didnt have a CD changer as standard

No mate. You need the whole big bracket that fits into the space as well. Those bits are used to fix the changer onto the big bracket if i remember rightly.

There a bit like self tapping screws, but its such a faff messing with other ones, that its easier to go down the dealer and just ask for the screws.
