Needle. Haystack.

What does Google come up with? The trouble with the R32 is that it is too specialist for normal car hire firms but not exotic enough for the specialists.

Good luck.

what about a test drive at a dealer? You can easy get this for an hour if they think you are going to buy

Although if he has no intention of buying it isn't really fair to ask for a dealer's resources when then sales person could be earning money instead.

I wouldn't let this bother you. How do you test drive a car if you were looking to buy through an online broker? No different to going into PC World, Currys etc then going and buying on-line

When I was looking to buy my R32 the only demonstrators that the dealers seemed to have were the Finance/Sales Directors run about, my local dealers were unproductive said that that would have to speak to the FD - so told em were to go. Whilst positive, VW Solihull sorted a test drive for me but 30 mins and the sales guy took a nice busy route so I could not get the feel for the car (well apart from the 1/4 mile or stretch of dual carriageway before the dealership where I planted my foot down and watched the sales chap grab the handle on the door) biggrin

I would suggest an out of town dealer if you are in Nottingham

Oh and also depends if you want a MKIV or MKV...(if mk 4 then give me a shout - got a friend at work want to test drive it as well)

I am sure they (dealers) will make up for potential lost revenue from aftersales, servicing, parts etc...
Anyway, who said he's not going to buy it? A test drive could sway a punter......
