Hope someone can help......

My friend has a four year old A3 1.9TDi and she has been advised by Audi that the turbo requires replacing and has been quoted around 1K to do the work.

I just thought I would check to see if anyone knows what a good indy would charge for doing the same job and if anyone knows of one near Peterborough?

Many thanks

A grand!! Pah!

I did mine myself, and if you're handy with a spanner and have a mate who could help, you could too. thumbup

Or if you prefer a reciept for the work, take it to Jabba in Crowland. Do excellent work, and will probably investigate the car to see if Audi are tellin the truth (unless it's pretty obvious!).

Any questions, just ask. smile

Thanks for the response!

I'm no mechanic so not going to be something I can do. Do you have a rough idea of what Jabba would charge for doing it (if it does indeed need doing!)?

Another vote for Jabba Sport here thumbup

Don't know what they charge per hour as my mods weren't itemised thoroughly on the invoices.

They will quote you a price & stick to it. I have been there twice now & have nowt but praise for them.

Can I have my £10 please Nick & co? hehe

When I was last up there, it was half of what Audi charge! And they should keep it that way. They will gather much more customers based on reputation rather than an increase in labour.
