Audi TT suspension and spoiler recall
Discussion
A friend of mine has just bought a used TT which has not had the re-call done to it (the one where they fitted the rear spoiler etc..). The question is, is it worth doing? I understand they replace some parts of the suspension when they do this, so maybe it could be beneficial?
He really wants some advice as whilst he wants the car the be safe, he doesn't want to lose the feedback from the car.
Anyone any ideas or had this done themselves?
Any ideas what parts they change?
Any help much appreciated.

From what I've heard the original suspension was better from a driver's perspective. Have heard of it selling well on EBay etc.
Then again if you want safety and resale potential....
Personally think the TT looks better without spoiler.
Recall still applies for suspension and spoiler but I don't think they will retro-fit the ESP any more.

My sdvanced driving instructor (Big John) has one of the original unmodified TTs. In fact I replace my whole suspension system on one of the later cars cause I didn't like what Audi did.
So if you're into driving I'd say keep it as is and if not then change it (cause it's free and will add to resale)!
NB the suspension modifications and areodynamic changes only effected high speed manuvourability and since you will probably not have much oppertunity to practice fast lane changes above 140mph in this county I doubt if it gonna play a significant role in keeping the car on the road under normal spirited B road driving.
