Mine is a little more sedate than that one! hehe

I think his car is pushing over 600bhp and he passed me like I was standing still.

Yes i shall be there next year as well.I was in my 2.7 S4,which was fun.I went in a guys 51 plate RS4 which was one of the last 2.7 engines, which as far as i remeber he had,had a stage 2 or 3 on and was pushing approx 450bhp.That car was awsome and id love the 2.7 RS4 for my next car (although it will probs be about 3-4yrs away yet).I was quite surprised that i didnt see any Q7's there this year. For a 4x4 i think there stunning,in my opinion blows the BMW X5 away.

I'm more of an X5 fan myself, especially after seeing how quick they are around a track! laugh

As for the bi-turbo RS4, I like them alot. I managed to blag myself a ride in Kim Collins yellow one which was alledgidly pushing 500bhp. I'm not convinced it was running that much power myself but it wasn't too shy in the power department.

Did you see the MRC S4 around the track? Apparently he had a moment and nearly binned it at Quarry.

Cant remember that S4,but then there were loads of cars (i really couldnt get enough of them all haha). When we went out on the track there was a left hand drive Yellow S3 which nearly lost it on one of the bends. It was either driver error or maybe because its the Haldex system and not full Quattro. But it really was a good day.

Probably driver error I reckon. I was always sceptical of the haldex system because I don't think its upto the standard of a Torsen system but that said I have seen AngryS3Owner hussle his S3 through corners at high speed without too much of a problem. I think if you know how to handle it you should be fine. smile

I managed to slide my S2 around quarry once :O. Basically I positioned myself for the corner, turned in carrying alot of speed and met someone half way around the corner taking it easy so I lifted off and lost all grip so I quickly planted my foot back down and slid around the corner and the car doing about 40mph through Quarry! hehe

Where abouts are you located? If its anywhere near thames valley you should bring the car out on a run. smile

I was bombing round in the Fontain liveried A3 Quattro.

Got some pictures of the Orange TT too, will pop them on here later.

I was there, my S4 was runner-up (again rolleyes) in the modern class Concours.

I've been every year since 2004 as it's quite local to me. Superb event and good to see it supported by Audi UK this year. thumbup

Like you say probably was driver error,i really thought he'd lost it but he pulled it back, and off he went again.Even the kids parade was fun.You could give it a bit of throttle when going round and it was free.I'm from the West Mids area, where abouts are you.Do you know of any Audi Meets where everyone gets their Audi's on the road and goes for a good drive about. To be honest im quite new to it all.only had mine for a year, and my partner has had his for about 18months.Thanks for offering to post the pics that would be great.

Many Thanks everyone for replying driving

The red ones are apparantly easier to slide round quarry!! This is my old Quattro few years back!smile

TBH tho i didnt think this years show was all that (and i know a lot of others that thought the same). OK, good collection of S's but basically a car park with a trade stand selling cheap sponges. I think what really makes it a good day is obvously being able to take car on track along with like minded Audi enthusiasts tho, i suppose its a "if it aint broke" kinda attitude of the organizers but i think its def starting to loose its appeal..

In a 2.8 aswell? Good work! biggrin

I don't think my angle around the corner was quite as impressive as that though! hehe

I did read on the S2 forum that it has sort of lost its appeal abit which is ashame. I also heard that the S2 stand had been moved into the carpark even though they were probably the biggest stand there which is abit shitty.

I shall be along there next year but I don't think I will be taking the car on the track unless its damp and everyone else is too scared to go on.

How are you finding S2 ownership?

I Enjoy it purely because it's the only day where you can go to see Audi's only. It's just a day out in my view.Maybe i should get out more haha.
Does anyone know of any other days with the Audi's apart from GTI International.

It been a bit of a moneypit TBH Rob but getting there. Im a bit of a fussy bugger so want to get it right. These are the things getting done this month:

Headgasket
Cambelt
replacing Boost hoses (Samcos)
replacing Avus 17's with Anthracite Avus 18's
996 calipers (couldnt decide on colour Red or yellow so got both!) S8 323 disc etc..
Just had H&R's fitted at MRC
"possibily" new RS2 turbo
Will also need exhaust to accomodate RS2 Turbo if i get it!!

Im trying to juggle between Car,house renovation and the Girlfreind at the mo, you can tell whats getting the most attention tho!! wink

As far as other Audi events in the UK, im not too sure, ADI and GTI International prob the biggest and most Audi/VW specific tho..

Thats a very nice list you have there but as you say it is far from cheap, especially when you factor in the RS2 ECU, RS2 Exhaust Manifold, Bigger injectors, etc..

I was going to spec my car up too but aside from costing a fortune, I think I have enough fun as it is for a point to point car.

Mine was running great until monday morning where it then decided that running at full boost was no longer fun...rolleyes

Hopefully I shall find out whats wrong with it by tomorrow.

Does your missus get to drive the S2? Mine will not go anywhere near the drivers seat in fear of crashing my P&J!
