ONBOARD COMPUTER ON S6

my onboard computer is showing i need new brake pads - can i get this done indepentent or do i need to go to dealers to re-set the computer when the work is done??

Good Audi indie will do this and re-set the display with Vag-com.

But haven't you just purchased this vehicle?
Could take it back, moan & get them to do it FOC

theres a slight prob there - i bought the car in glasgow but i live in belfast

I went through this the other day with my AllRoad. An independent fitted the correct pads on but the OBC still showed the warning. They wanted to take the car back to reset the OBC (which I wouldn't have minded). However, after a couple of restarts it reset itself, obviously it figured out the fault condition had been rectified.
