Is it just me or do the main dealers not give a hoot ?

My wife has an S3, owned it from new. Always serviced at the local main dealer. Recently their support seems to have gone to the dogs!

Her car has had the engine management light on for 2 weeks and won't even be looked at until next Friday! - I bet the answer will come back saying - We need to order parts !

Last time it went in the Recaro Seats had a fault - We were told that Recaro's aren't standard fit so they couldn't fix them. - They did sort them, once we pointed out how they were indeed standard.

The worst I think though is despite the above I spoke at length with a salesman regarding the trade in of the S3 for an RS4 - That's the last i heard from him. Perhaps he has too many people queuing for 50K motors !!

This is just a couple of my recent experiences

Perhaps it's just me !

What's the general feeling about the main dealers ???

HMM,

Not sure yet, Just had my car serviced and there was a fault with EML on. Easy fix so I was told, ? , temp sensor. Fixed with light off on way home.

For sixty miles.
then light back on!!?

So my first experience not so good,
Nice place to be though with Three R8's and plenty of RS4's and RS6's hanging about.

Still its all cheaper than my Rangr Rover experience.

I had spent 150K over 3 years in one norfolk Audi stealers, N*r*ich Audi, I took back my A8 4.2TDI sport for a PX against the RS4, I was offered 17K LESS in 9 months of ownership than I payed them for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Neadless to say "UP them", I have been ignored since by them ( bought the RS4 somewhere else and saved 10K)before I was lord muck, now just MUCK. Look for another dealership, they are out there.

See my post in the Aren't All Audis rubbish thread.

Dealers are poor and Audi GB are poor too. They don't give a damn.

I am afraid I have to disagree, Audi Bexley really do give a hoot, especially on the service side. Even the parts Dept will call if asked if anything has arrived that you have ordered.

Crawley Audi have been superb for me since switching from BMW. Couldn't have been any better and seriously proffesional. Anyone wants to deal with an honest, decent and very passionate person, speak to Garth at Crawley Audi

I keep hearing good things about Bexley Audi.

I was thinking about going there when my local Audi dealer were being a pain but I called Audi UK who were very good and gave the dealer a prod and sorted out my question pronto so on this occasion Audi UK came out well in my eyes.

My experience of Audi dealers has put me off the brand for life. I had a cabriolet with an erratic idle, after numerous attempts to fix it their suggestion solution was for me to buy a new car!

An independent car electrician fixed the problem in a day.

Main dealers can be a pain. Hence the market for indies!

Main stealers are a censored pain!

Servicing a nightmare and don't start me off when buying a new car. Call to enquire on a model & never get a return call.
Do they take customers seriously???

Same experience with Brighton Audi. Been using them for 5 years now. Nothing has ever been too much trouble for them (including letting me drive their R8 demo today smile)

No, its not a joke and im telling everyone my personal experience with Crawley Audi. If thats your joke of the year, i suggest a sense of humour transplant is needed.

I find your comments pointless. If you have something to say about a car or a dealer then say it, but don't start telling people that their car will go wrong and that their good experience with a dealer will turn out to be bad. As i say pointless.

I was reccomended Crawley Audi from a friend of mine who's company has a fleet of 30 odd Audi's, all supplied and serviced by Crawley Audi and he has not a bad word to say about them.

Please do not rubbish someone's else opinion of a dealer
