My wife really likes the wine red colour on cars, and i'm currently looking into buying a Q7, so has anyone seen one in Garnet Red. I've seen pictures but cant be sure. I'm a bit hesitant, as I always buy "safe" colours.

I had a Q7 for a week whilst my A6 was mis behaving. Its huge! Nice for a 4x4 type thingy, but i was glad to get the A6 back.

A case of each to his own, but i have seen a red one, and personnaly i would leave it alone. Very common in silver, black looks good as does dark grey.

worse colour audi makes imo.. the A4/ A6"s look shocking in garnet and a nightmare to sell on , salesman will love you when you buy it but kick you in the nads when you come to part with it..

looking at what you see on the road I thought they were only vailable in black tumbleweed

go for it if you like it, will be a depreciation disaster of course

the Q7 is a tank from the side so I think it looks better in v dark colours or balck

Agree.

Basically from my point of view I'm advising customers not to buy red metallic, green metallic, gold (on the main range of A3, A4, A6) or even some darker blues as we really do have a problem with them when they're used.

Even though Garnet Red metallic is a nice colour in theory, it is murder to move on.

Q7 would be best in Silver, Phantom Black, Lava Grey, Sycamore Green, Daytona Grey, Condor Grey, Quartz Grey, or curiously Bahia Beige (actually Gold looks OK on Q7).

The ones we've sold so far encompass that range, and I'd have no problem selling them 2nd hand in those colours.

Hi Jeff.

I personally love Brilliant Red and at a slightly more expensive price Misano Red pearl effect.

Both these sell well on A3, A4 and TT.

It's a very bold colour for the much larger A6, A8 and Q7, so thankfully only A6 S-line and S6 models with the Misano Red option should be out there...

However thankfully Audi have chosen not to include a bright red on the standard colour pallette for the Q7.

It would look awful on a car as big as the Q7, but on an A3, A4, TT it looks fab and is a good seller.

Andrew.

It's all in the eye of the beholder...

For example I like the S4 in Nogaro Blue...

But I'm still not sure...

Think it might look good in bright red with the s-line kit on it and 22" Audi wheels not chromed or spinners before anyone picks up on the big wheels bit
