I think thats why it never made it past the "concept car" stage.

It did make it past the concept stage, they made 39 of them. Thats just the only RHD one, must admit it is Fugly isnt it, nothing like the normal ones. But then its more powerful than the normal ones. Watch it, i bet it goes for silly money.

OT:

On ebay I never bid on the auctions where the seller hides the ID of each bidder. In so many cases the other bids are their mates or usually themselves under another name. In some case the other 'bidders' have very low feedback with multiple bids on the same account. Not saying this is the case here at all. Anyone else feel this way too?

Yes I know she's an acquired taste, but she's my acquired taste.. (thank you for the intro Blaine ) have (as will see from profile) had a few urqs over time but this was the one I always wanted - don't like to follow the crowd Gutted to let her go but means as must.. The hidden bidder nonsense is something ebay defaults to - didn't realise until after the start. Have already had 1 person turn up trying to prise her off ebay for cash and in fairness to everyone else I may have shot myself in the foot but I said she's going to the highest bidder so come 21:30 tomorrow she'll have a new owner, and they won't be disappointed. She keeps up and can outrun most things - including my brothers 20v RR.

Seamus as a quattro owner myself, would be interested to know where did you get it? How long have you had it?

I tracked the car down years ago to the original owner after it was sold by the dealer who used it as the demo/Motorshow/press car, at that time I was unable to afford it, the car subsequently went to another urq fan and when he offered it for sale due to retirement I was in a position to buy, this was only last June so I have only had 1 summer to enjoy the car which I have to say is a real shame, there really is nothing like that 5 pot with the roof off. Admittedly she does look a little odd with the roof up but Treser did manage not to spoil the lines too much with the roof lowered. The front bumper is a necessity to let extra air into the enlarged intercooler which was part of the 250 bhp upgrade. If I was in a position to keep the car I would without question.
