I've just bought a A4 saloon 2.8 Quattro with P6000s all round, a couple need replacing.

I currently have these tyres on my volvo and they tramline all over the place and are renowned in volvo circles for not being particularly good tyres but have good wear.

Would anyone recommend I replace the P6000s with the same tyres or put something new on?? What are people's thoughts on these on an A4 quattro - are they ok? Bearing in mind if I do replace the P6000s with something else it will then have different front and back.

Had those on my older S4 Avant Bi-turbo which is the same model A4.

Changed them for Continental Sport Contact 2 which tranformed the car.

Eventually even tried bigger (18" wheels with Pirelli P-Zero and these were better still.

Would recommend you change them when costs allow and make sure you specify the load rating as well as the tyre size - if you get tyres that are not specifically "extra load" tyres, your handling will be horrible.

Thanks for the info.

Will it be a problem putting different tyres on front and back?

Do you really need to specify Extra Load on an A4 saloon? I thought Extra load were for people carriers, big estates etc...
