Recently picked up 1998 A3 with concert radio cassette, looked in left hand side storage in boot and there is a pin plug that looks like a CD multi changer should plug in to.

Is it a case of just buying a multichanger of ebay and pluging it in? or do I also require a power outlet?
Also the multi changers on ebay are from the USA, do these work in Europe cars.

Any one bought one of these?

Hi.

Yes that year of car came pre-wired for the CD changer, as you said in the side bin on top of the sub woofer speaker.

To my knowledge the US hi-fi will be the same.

However, get the part number, and then go to your local Audi dealer and ask to check the number there also.

They should match.

I've seen some UK changers for sale too though...

You can also fit an i-pod adapter INSTEAD of the CD changer - this is cheaper too.
