Traffic info on SatNav Plus / MTM exhaust

My S3 arrives next week, hurrah! Slightly miffed that the dealer didn't tell me delivery had been brought forward (by about 5 weeks) so I may be forced to part-ex my MkV GTi. Nonetheless I am looking forward to it.
A couple of questions...
I heard that if you ask the dealer to activate the traffic info module on the SatNav they will do it FOC at the moment. Does the S3 have the right system to be able to do this? Have I misunderstood altogether?
Secondly, has anyone any experience of the MTM (Cat-back) exhaust on the new S3? I ask because on my test drive I felt the S3 didn't sound nearly as meaty as my Golf. I don't want something that sounds like an Impreza with a drain pipe on the back, but would like to re-create the unmodified sound of my Golf. Also, I have never modified a car before - how sniffy are insurers about something as innocent as an exhaust?

The S3 should come with the latest 2007 DVD which should have the TMC traffic info already active. All cars built after mid Dec 06 should have it. Pre 2006 cars will get the free upgrade.
You should have 2 DVD's in this pack.
