Just had my A3 2.0TDi with DSG back from 36k service. All good; but I have been told that I would need to bring it back in 4k as the DSG 'filter' will be due for renewal...

two questions:
What is the DSG filter for (please excuse my lack of technical expertise)?
Does anybody know how much it will cost me?

Thanks

Charlie

Hi.

I think it's to do with the wet clutch arrangement...

Cost = don't know, but has the dealer told you?

The DSG gearbox uses 'wet' clutches that sit in oil, presumably they have a filter and would also require the oil changing at the same time.
