general question

Hi there im new to this site and love your classified section very good selection and variety of cars,beats ebay and auto trader hands up.Im a big vw fan just need to ask a question and if anyone can help.I have a 1998 S registered mk4 golf 1.8 20vt 5dr in black 6spd, how come i havent seen another this make of year and model.The lad i bought the car of he told me its a very rare S registered 6spd model if so please could someone email me and what bhp figures am i looking at 150 bhp or the 180 bhp.Recently bought the car although been a VR6 fan espscially the mk2 converted vr6.Dream car would mk2 v6 turbo 6spd 4-wheel drive about the 500 bhp mark awesome..Thank you PH and PH'ERS

Welcome to the site.
The first mk4's were S reg. The GTI turbo was a 20v 150bhp version.
Your car has had a geabox replacement at soem stage.
The 6 speed originally came on V6 4motions from 2000(W) and later in the 180bhp 1.8Ts (2003 onwards).
