For what it's worth, I've had one with DSG for 11 months and 36k miles now... I really cannot fault it- Pleasantly surpriused by servicing costs- very comnfortable and nice to drive...

Even so,I reckon you might miss the noble!

after 72k miles in one, I'd suggest watching out for falling asleep at the wheel...the most boring car I've ever owned

entirely competent but doesn't involve the driver whatsoever

i might miss the noble but i dont miss the cost of it over £1000 a month just to own it.
