Audi 3.0TDI Cabriolet

I'm looking for a relaxed automatic, convertible cruiser and don't want rattly engines and whining drivetrain spoiling it.

Is this engine suited to the A4 Cabriolet? I assume that it is modern enough not to sound like a black cab?
Also, is there extra intrusive noise from the Quattro system?

What are your thoughts? Thanks

cant help you on the 3.0tdi A4 thing , but I have a 3.0 tdi Quattro auto in an A6 and the engine is as quiet as equivelent petrol not agricultural at all .. 4wd is silent.
