V8 Diesel for A8

Audi's top of the range saloon gets twin turbo diesel

For some reason this seems like a good idea - how long before Lotus develop it and drop it in the Ecos? Won't be much V8 Thunder - more V8 Tractor - or have they sorted out the sound as well? I know a lot of the Cadillacs imported in recent years have had their V8s converted to diesel without much fuss. Will Jaguar follow suit?

By all accounts this diesel V8 is indistinguishable from a Petrol when its running.

Audi themselves are very please on the whole, back slapping all round.

Now, if the UK market could just get its hands on the 6 litre W12 A8...
