Evening,

Can anyone shed any light on this (haha) please as I have sliced my fingers trying to twist/pull the little chap out.
All the other bulbs, although an exercise in digital dexterity, are pretty easy to work out in a Krapton Fictor way. The sidelight unfortunately seems to have beaten me.

Many thanks,

IIRC it's easier to remove the front bumper to change the bulbs. YES I know! OMG!! lol

check www.uk-mkivs.net to be sure though

Thanks.
If they are anything like a bumper on a Polo they're a doddle. Think I'll have another go at the bulb on it's own though with a pair of pliers if it's supposed to pull out.

Think the GF might be a bit shocked to see her car missing it's front for a 50p part!

Thanks,

I had to take the bumper off a Polo recently and they are easy, but even so I'll have another go if the bulb is supposed to pull out.

The girlfriend might be a bit shocked to see the front of her car missing just to replace a 50p part!

Thanks again.

I tried to change the sidelight bulb on my wife's Galaxy (a VW design) where the whole light needs to be removed and ended up trapping my thumb so gave up with much swearing & cursing. rolleyes

The car was in for service shortly afterwards so I asked them to do it, they charged me the price of a bulb (58p) but I suppose if I had just taken it there for a new bulb then it'd be at least a tenner?

But what a piss-poor design........

unless you have really tiny hands, its best to remove the bumper, once removed its pretty easy

should take you no more than 10 minutes to remove the bumper if you have done it a couple of times, dont even need to jack the car up. but be prepared to get dirty as theres screws underneath.

thats a good thread, shows where all the screws are
