I had 18" RS6 replica alloys on my car when I bought it with Runway tyres and found the ride to be incredibly harsh, really annoying given we live on a new housing devlopement with an as yet unfinished road. Have just bought some 16" Montreals off fleabay and they seem to have made a huge difference.
Thank God!

What car?
Do you have before and after pics?
Does the car handle better or worse?
I'm thinking of downgrading the 17 inchers on my A6 to 16 to improve the ride.
I've got a 2002 GT TDi 150. I didn't take any photos of the car with the 18s fitted but it seemed to be crying out to be lowered and judidn't look right as it was. With the 16s on now it looks much better, standard but that's how I like it. The ride is much more tolerable now and the handling doesn't seem to have been affected. The 18s were really heavy wheels so if anything, I reckon it's got to be a bit better.
