Is it just me?

Just taken delivery of my new Golf Match yesterday (company car).

It's great, apart from the ipod connectivity - it seems to be behaving oddly. I try to skip a track on the ipod, and it skips a random number of tracks forwards rather than just one.

it's the same whether I use the wheel controls, scroll wheel or buttons on the stereo. All behaves normally with a CD, it's just with the iPod (which is a new 80Gb Video one)

All ideas gratefully received, is this a common problem or is it just me.

I thought I ask here first before going to the local dealer & being told "they all do that sir!"

Thanks

Chris

I had this problem on a headunit i put in my car, the problem there was the headunit didn't read the ipod the way the tracks were listed ie, artists a-z and then the album order etc it read them by file name somehow so there was no way to really know when the song you wanted would appear or where to find it and when you have a thousand or so songs to go through you have arrived at your destination before you find it!! pi$$ed me off so i got a belkin cradle, much easier to use than a head unit because you just use the ipod itself

I don't know if this is what your problem is, bare in mind mine was an after market headunit rather than the manufactures one and I don't know how yours is supposed to read the tracks your best checking with the dear-ler, but it was just a thought
