Bought a new Leon FR TDi
Discussion
I have today taken delievery of a new Leon. When getting the best price for the car I looked at all the sites on the internet offering a discount. Took the details of the best price I could get into my local dealer (Plymouth Seat). Got a deal with these guys that was within £200 of the internet price. The car had only 7 miles on the clock when I picked it up this morning and the dealer is less than 10 miles away. I did try a couple of other dealers in the South West but this garage are keen for the business.
Great car and I get the feeling the tyres arent going to last to long .

We have a Leon FR TDi on order, in Crono Yellow with 18s and bluetooth. In theory it should be at the dealers now, and ready to collect on the weekend The dealer who supplied the previous car didnt want to do a deal (were nigh on £2k dearer for new, £1k for ex demo) so I did a search on Autotrader and SEAT Swindon had a prereg advertised but was sold when we called. So they did new for £200 more!
Out of interest, does yours have the ipod aux input thing by the handbrake? Does it have the lead to go with it? Have you tried the "pressing the lock button for 5seconds" trick, apparently the mirrors then fold up!

I didnt go for the ipod connection. The aux jack only needs a double ended 3.5mm jack. A couple of quid on ebay. Bought the 18" wheels as they do look cool and as I suffer from a bad back paid for the heated seats which really work well.
I went for an AIRPLAY BOOST FM transmitter as reccommended by Auto Express so it can be used at home and in other cars and it seems to work well but only tried it on the drive tonight.
The 12 weeks wait I feel is worth it as you dont see that many on the road, better looking and cheaper than a golf, which has not got to long before its replaced again.
Are going for the GAP insurance cover?

Not from the dealer, no. Did get a quote from www.gapinsurance.co.uk which was a fair bit cheaper.
www.swindonmotorpark.co.uk is where we got ours from, but if you join www.seatcupra.net on the forums there may be other dealers who are up for a deal
Mine was just under £200 more at the local dealership than on the internet - drivethedeal, which was the cheapest I could find at the time. This included the extras. This then would have be driven to my door.
The local dealer, Plymouth Seat, suppied the car with 7 miles on the clock with a full set of mats.
I have found on ebay the VW alloy pedal pads, original parts, which I hope will look the part when fitted.
