Hi. A mate of mine has a chipped Seat TDi (same engine as my Audi A4 TDi) and reports very good results - improved performance & economy. Not sure which chip was used but am about to find out. Anyone got any experience of this, which company was used, what were the results in performance & economy? What are the downsides? There must be some - increased insurance, increased servicing requirements, reduced longevity?? Would you recommend it?

My car is a year 2000 A4 TDi (115) - the run out model for that body shape - with 68K miles.

Any comments gratefully received.
