Buying a sensible family estate
Discussion
I have been out looking for a bigger car to replace our 2002 A4 Avant 2.0.....looking for something a bit more economical if possible to keep the fuel bills down so I bought a diesel A6 back in Jan but had to reject that because of a gearbox problem.
So in my search for a sensible family estate I went to see another diesel A6 at the weekend and what did I ended up putting down a deposit on.......a 2002 A6 2.7 Twin-turbo quattro with 250bhp
Once I pulled away from the garage forecourt, I convinced myself that fuel economy doesn't matter on a car that we will only do 8,000 miles a year in. I should be able to get 23mpg with a light right foot.
