Hi, my first post in VW/Audi, and as an A6 owner of 7 months i have finally done something to write about.
I bought the A6 after owning a five series touring and needing to re-new but couldn't get on with the in your face styling of the new shape, or the hideous ride from the run flats on the latest BM.
The air suspension was a big influance in the purchase of the Audi.
Lovely comfortable ride in 'comfort' mode, but trouble was the car ride height was like a Q7. Lowish in 'dynamic', but with almost 5 series harshness.
Answer, bought a lowering module from Ms tuning in Thurrock. Fitted it myself in around an hour, turned on the ignition key, and felt the car slide down to the tarmack. Sweeet.
Can't recomend it enough, and as they supply to the trade, it was half the price some companies quoted for the system (made by H&R, germany).Look for yourself at mstuning.co.uk, or at h&r.com
Looked at some RS4 wheels for sale at pistonheads to finish it off, but the offsets were very wrong. Besides, it would loose some of its subtlety with shiney wheels. Wheels on it were ok (18 inch seven spoke) so settled on a 10mm wheel spacer kit also by the same people, from the same supplier. Quality alloy spacers with 10mm longer bolts, the car looks how it should from new, with a nice 10 mm of air between top of tyre and arch, and the wheels around 15mm in from the arch. Lovely
