questions ... audi A6 3.0 tdi.. bluetooth ? and Mpg ?

My A6 Hhas the gsm phone prep, has a cradle in the arm rest not compatable with my phone though .. anyone know if they are like the bmw where they also have blue tooth built in , I search for devices and my phone finds something but I cant get it to work..



and any one used a 3.0 tdi quattro for towing ? My mpg Isnt so good now and am wondering what a trailer and car will do to it !!!! ???

the bluetooth is an option on the RNS-E...you can get it fitted aftermarket though for few hundred quid...I had it done on my RS6 as had the same problem with the old style integrated car kit

Re mpg. How many miles has your 3.0 TDi done, mine improved drastically once it got past 10k, even with a chip and hard driving I am getting over 35mpg at the moment.

Its done over 50k now, Ive only recently bought it, computer shows 34mpg from the previous owner, round the town its low 20s , which I find hard after coming from a 130 tdi which was *much * better !! I was on a 100 mile journey this week and nursed it and it managed 39mpg..

which remap did you go for ? Is there a noticable difference ? what gains did you get ? I know there is a problem on the previous shape v6 tdi autos and remapping , but the guy that does my remapping reckons this shape is fine ?

Just went for the Superchips option. Nearly 400ft/lb and 280 bhp. Has totally transformed the car, 0 - 60 in 6 secs dead and a 14.4 1/4 mile time. Takes off like a scalded cat! You have also got the peace of mind of a warranty as well. Real noticable difference now, BMW 535D go backwards!

If it is current shape A6, then the answer is YES!!

You have 4 minutes from starting the car to pair your phone with the Bluetooth car kit.

The pass code is factory set to 1234.

If this has been changed, your local Audi dealer can interogate the system to reset the code to one of your own design.

What handset have you?

There is a comprehensive list of adapter sets for the mounting plate in the de-luxe front centre armrest...

One more thing...

If your handset does not have the facility to allow the car to import your phone book from your phone or SIM then you will have reduced functionality.

If you can pair it successfully then your steering wheel controls will work it all...

The "MODE" button will change from radio/trip comp display in the driver's info system to telephone display.

The left thumb wheel will allow you to select from dialled calls, received calls, missed calls, and your phone book (providing your handset supports this).

If an incoming call happens, then "clicking" the left thumb wheel (pressing the wheel as opposed to running it up or down) will receive the call... Holding the "click" button for 2 secs or more rejects the call!

So totally hands free.

Let me know the handset you have and I'll check Audi Adapter availability!
