Metallic 'chinking' noise from suspension
Discussion
My 2000 reg VW Bora is approaching 86K on the clock now, and is starting to irritate my slightly.
The rattles from the dash are one thing (i expect them after i've dismantled most of it and put it back together!), but i have a worrying metallic, high pitched noise that i can best describe as chinking coming from the suspension, especially over small bumps/potholes.
I've done the bounce test on all 4 corners and the shocks 'seem' okay. Could i be looking at whole new suspension set up? As i understand it, dampers/springs do wear out around the mileage i've racked up.
