TT Indicator problem

Hi fellow PHers,

A friend of mine has a 2002 TT 225 model and he has a fault with the indicators. When he indicates either left or right the indicators will either stick on permeate, not work at all or will click as normal but every now and again will click double speed.

I have checked that all the bulbs work, so I am thinking it's probably a dodgy relay.

Has anyone had a similar fault and if so what was the problem. If it is the relay does anyone know where it is located so that I can check it?

hazard relay. take 5 mins to fit, pull the radio out drop this little black cover and push it through from the front

Had the same myself only took the lazy route - dealer. Cost me £60 all in.

The relay itself costs around £30 but you also need special tools to take out the stereo.
