Interesting. Thanks for that.

(Although I haven't used AmD for years and heard on the grapevine that they've lost interest in the Corrado anyway)

I used AmD years ago, and they were superb.
Coming back to Audi's recently ( with an RS2 ), I was surprised at their apparent lack of interest in an "older" model - not only didn't they cater for it, but apparently they didn't know anyone else who did either!
How far are they from MRC?!

Strange.

MRC, Dialynx & QST all know the RS2.

It just seems a shame to me that what was once a great little company has now just been reduced to a bit of badge engineering. All the original team who originally worked out of Oddington have long since drifted away, demoralised at the way it was being run after Scott left.

I don't see too many of thier midlands Porsche/VAG customer base will be bothered to flog all the way to Thurrock for servicing. I expect the other local specialists (some of which now have ex AmD staffers in them) will all benefit nicely.

AFAIK, AmD have been bought out by Big Boys Toys (already a VAG specialist) who are based in West Thurrock, Essex (near the Lakeside shopping centre/Dartford crossing). I believe the Bicester premises closed as of last Friday.

Some of the ex-AmD boys are now at a firm called APS. Not sure exactly where they are based but fairly close to Silverstone I think.

I used AmD many years ago when they were still in Oddington and they were a great company. Their service levels had certainly dropped over the last couple of years while their prices had increased dramatically. A shame they went under but I'm not surprised.
