Golf steering wheel

Hi guys how do i remove the steering wheel form the wifes 2003 golf gti. Its to change the indicator stalk which has to go over the column, im just concerned about the airbag.

This is what you need:

It's a guide for fitting cruise control, but as the cruise switch is on the indicator stalk then procedure should be the same.

If you have a drive by wire car then why not fit cruise at the same time? Parts only cost about £45 IIRC.
