A6 brake disks

Evening all!

I have a 3.0TDI A6 quattro, 2004 (new) model and have just been told by the dealer that I will need new rear disks. The car has done just under twenty thousand miles, and it seems odd to have to replace so quickly to me.

Any thoughts or experience?
