I'm considering the purchase of an A4 which has privacy glass, an extra i don't want. Is this removeable film or actual glass? cheers.

usually it is a film added after the car has been produced. Easily removed by people like Pentagon Glass.

A4 1996-2001 did not have any OE privacy glass. The 2001-07 model however does have this option on selected models. If this is the case, you won't shift it. Privacy film is removable but, TBH, not a job I'd want to do.

Then again, some of the poor quality films or badly applied do come off quite easily.

Keep it, it might be a drug dealer that buys it off you next and he'll be glad of it!

Don't blame you as it looks awful. Some A4's have rear side window blinds which are much nicer.

Hi.
Just had same problem.
Bourght a A3 with very dark (could't see through the the rear view mirrow ) privacy glass.
It was a film applied to the inside, easy to remove but it took ages to remove the clear sticky glue.

thanks for replies. Sounds a daft reason to avoid buying a car but think i'll give it a miss due to the glass. To bling for my liking.
