Passat CD Multichanger location - help needed
Discussion
After smashing up my A3 last week, my dad has kindly donated his S Reg Passat for me to use until the insurance money comes through. I have taken the cd multichanger out of my A3, and assumed I could stick it straight into the Passat. Unfortunately, even though the head unit has the cd multichanger controls, I cant find the wire to connect the multichanger up to.
Ive had the boot lining out, had a look in the glovebox, and can find it any where obvious.
Anyone got any ideas?

audi and vw are the same changer but have a different connector on the end.. audi is round vw is rectangle..Passats only have cd changer lead in some early sport models unless been specced from new , leads are available and not expensive.. later they have a single under the radio..and changed again to 6cd in dash in later models ..

I have a Passat estate (1999 V, pre face lift) the CD changer is located in the boot behind the panel on the left (IIRC the one marked for first aid kit). The changer is bolted to the metal brackets.
IIRC, if the car did not come with a changer, then the wiring will not be present. The CD changer wiring was only added as standard after the facelift - again IIRC.
Hope that helps
