Sorry folks, a bit like ChrisW's post.....
Considering a 2004 RS6. What are the pit falls, headaches and drawbacks?

Besides the cost of insurance, Challenger Mk2 like fuel economy and service costs, are there any common faults, weaknesses or problems?
I imagine the 40K/belt service is fairly significant. Any ideas regarding costs?

Does the clutch last?

Any thoughts or observations appreciated.

40K service is a about £1000 ish - get one thats had it done

theres no clutch - they are all tiptronic

goto www.rs246.com to find all us owners and your common questions answered

to summarise it for me, the RS6 Avant is simply the most practical, fastest, comfiest everyday car that money can buy and I wouldnt have anything else...other than maybe a new 5.2 V10 RS6 Avant when they come out

Just go for it; you only live once and you can't drive when you're dead.

Had mine from new, 63k miles in three years, couple of minor niggles sorted under warranty. The longest I have kept a daily driver, with the MTM engine and box chip it was fantastic.

Can't wait for the new one.
