VR6 Schrick VGI / VSR (variable inlet manifold)

Corrado VR6 owners are no doubt aware of this, but it's possible that some Golf VR6 owners may not be.

There is a group buy on the Schrick VGI at the-corrado.net that is due to finish at the end of the month (ie. 1 week left).

I'll declare a vested interest - my name is down on for the buy and naturally I'd rather pay the 10+ price than the 5+ price so it's in my interest to make sure people know about it.

There was a car with one of these at a recent rolling road day. I think it had cams, intake, probably exhaust, plus this thing.

Made about 220bhp if I remember. Was a golf but not sure if 2.8 or 2.9.

If you can afford it then it is a great mod, if nothing else because it is how the Corrado VR6 engine was intended to be before the beancounters deleted it on cost grounds.

It was a damn shame the Corrado VR6 Storm didn't have it as standard equipment - that would have made it a bit special rather than the 'why bother?' effort it ended up as.

Drop a PM to G-man on that thread - it may not be too late as he hasn't taken my money yet which means the order hasn't gone in yet. It'll be the 5+ price as we only got 7 people and you'd make it 8, but still a big saving.
