I'm struggling to find out how much to put my A6 up for sale at. I understand that "it's worth as much as any one will pay!" but interested to know where I should pitch it.

Spec:
2001
A6 Avant 2.7T Quattro Sport
Avus Silver
Black Recaro Sports Interior
BOSE
Tiptronic
51,000 miles
Full Service History

There doesn't seem to be many around to gauge a price.

Any help would be appreciated.

Have a look on the link below, you have to pay £3.50 to get a quote but it will give you the most accurate figure making it easier to price it right.

As an estimate I would say you are looking somewhere in between 8-10k depending on condition etc. beer

You can get a Glass's valuation for free at Network Q's website.

At a guess, the low mileage isn't going to bring the value up that much, and A6s are cheap currently. So maybe as low as £6k?

[Edit] Sorry, didn't notice it was an Avant. £8k, perhaps?

Theres a couple on the trader. Dealers are looking for about £12-£13K (with at least £1k-£1.5k of movement in there I'd guess)

What car says £9k private, but imho with your spec and quite low miles, £10k may look about right for a private sale.

I never knew that you could get it for free on that site, very handy to know.

From the Glass's guide on the Network Q site if it is on a 51 plate

Part-exchange Price:
Excellent condition: £9480
Average condition: £8530
Below average condition: £7540

or if it is a Y plate

Part-exchange Price:
Excellent condition: £8810
Average condition: £7880
Below average condition: £6910

I guess you should get a bit more privately.

That would be one hell of a good buy for someone.
